KEVIN JOHANSEN’S VIVE IN BUENOS AIRES
The international release of the audiovisual album, Vivo en Buenos Aires, coincides with starting work on the follow-up to Logo.

The album, Vivo en Buenos Aires, is the result of an extensive tour that Kevin Johansen has been doing (and promoting non-stop) with his band, The Nada, but also with the illustrator and cartoonist Liniers, and that is what makes this work stand out. Ricardo Siri, alias Liniers, became known in 1999 for his comic strip, Bonjour, which appeared in the Buenos Aires newspaper, Página 12. In 2002, he began work on illustrating album covers (Esteban R Esteban, Chucaro, Andres Calamaro) and, in 2007, designed the cover of Kevin Johansen's hit album, Logo. Logo is the fourth album by the Alaskan rock musician, who started out in 1985, and for it, he thought it would be a good idea to involve Liniers in his live performances. They first staged a show called Oops!, based on a book they wrote together, and then set up an eye-catching audiovisual routine, in which Johansen plays and Liniers paints (they sometimes sing together as well), and these graphics are projected onto the stage. These performances reached their pinnacle during a concert at the Buenos Aires National Theatre in August 2009, where Liniers made a huge mural, and the result is this CD/DVD, which has started going on sale outside Argentina. In terms of the music, Vivo en Buenos Aires is a journey through Johansen's unusual career, characterised by alternative rock that is full of Latin combinations. The album features guest artists such as Ileana Cabra, Kiko Veneno, Fernando Cabrera and Paulinho Moska. It was produced by Sony Music and the DVD was filmed in HD by Ariel Hassan. But not satisfied with all of this, the ever intense and active Johansen has announced that he is working on a follow-up album to Logo, which will be released in late 2010.
