Electronic music, folk, pop, indie... styles for all tastes. So describes the tenth edition of the Zaragoza Independent Music Festival (FIZ), which will take place on 8 and 9 October. Two days of intense musical activity, in which the stand out act is Massive Attack, the iconic Bristol trip-hop band and their ever evolving sound style that flits between electronic and black music, not to mention rock. Formed as a three-piece 22 years ago, the band, now a two-piece made up of Grant "Daddy G" Marshall and 3D (Robert del Naja) returns to the stage to promote its fifth studio album, Heligoland (2010, Virgin Records). Other standout performances include the quintessential rock star, Pete Doherty, the bad boy poet who lives amid a continuous media frenzy with constant intrusions in his private life. Anni B Sweet, the up-and-coming, fresh, sweet, Malaga-born folk singer following the release of her amazing debut album, Start, Restart, Undo (2009, Subterfuge). Two days in which to enjoy an eclectic artistic line up that combines the best of the national indie scene with the most outstanding international artists.
